Wynonna Earp Wiki

Gus McCready is a recurring character in Season 1 of Wynonna Earp.

Biography[]

Gus was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. At some point she moved to Purgatory and married Curtis McCready, working as a rancher. She is Michelle Gibson's sister; Willa, Wynonna, and Waverly Earp's aunt; and Curtis' widow.

History[]

Season 1[]

In Purgatory, Gus is first seen giving a eulogy at her husband Curtis' funeral. She tells Wynonna she is late when she comes into the house and that Curtis had died of a stroke. Gus mentions that Champ is the one who found Curtis, but didn't see what happened. She tells Wynonna to let it go when she questions if the body was intact and walks away. Later, she confronts Wynonna about drinking all the whiskey and taking the truck, while being told about her husband's head being taken off. She mentions Wynonna has the wild look in her eyes and how Waverly has worked so hard to get underneath Wynonna's shadow. She hands her a handful of cash since it's her birthday and it would be enough for one way ticket to Athens, while also taking her sister with her. She says that she loves her, but she's as broken as they come and walks away.

At night, Wynonna returns to her aunt's house and finds her injured on the floor, telling her niece they took Waverly and "Tomorrow, high noon" before passing out. She is later taken to the hospital, with Waverly mentioning that she'll be discharged the next day.

In Keep the Home Fires Burning, Gus, Wynonna and Waverly get lunch ready at Shorty's until Red walks in demanding Peacemaker. Gus tells him to stay away from her nieces and after Wynonna sends Red to Hell, Gus sees the blood on the floor and goes to get a cloth to clean it up.

In The Blade, she refuses to serve Doc a drink as she's management of Shorty's now and how he treated Waverly.

In Bury Me With My Guns On, she talks to Kit Mitchell about signing papers regarding the bar. She later reveals to Waverly that she already signed them, but the bar will be staying. She gives Waverly a check and tells her to do what she wants to do, as she knows she doesn't want to be stuck waiting at a bar forever.

In She Wouldn't Be Gone, she walks outside and drops her beer, saying "Willa" as she looks at the young woman Wynonna has brought with her.

In Landslide, she and her nieces watch as Willa sleeps, discussing on what to do. She talks with Wynonna as about searching for Willa and mentions that it could be a second chance for them.

Season 2[]

In I Hope You Dance, Waverly mentions that Gus is waiting somewhere outside the Ghost River Triangle to raise Alice Michelle and keep the baby safe from the Revenants.
